Shou Sugi Ban, derives from an ancient Japanese exterior cladding treatment used to preserve the wood by charring it with the fire. The process forms a carbon layer on the exterior of the boards which protects the timber and reduces the maintenance need. Unlike this manual burning process, Nova-Croco is created with a unique process in a production line where the temperature rate is standardized. The special black texture of Nova-Croco is created not only by burning, but by applying a special solution in advance. Afterwards, the oil treatment is applied to the surface with a special varnish compatible with the exterior conditions. Thus, a semi-dull glossy appearance is obtained on the surface and the surface breakages are minimized.

Discover Nova-Croco’s nicely curved surface, unique beauty and special black texture.
